Duvel Glass 'New York'
This Duvel glass celebrates the vibrant cultural heritage of the five boroughs of NYC. From a cultural perspective, NYC has always been a melting pot and a trailblazer in the art world. Both Punk and Hip Hop can be traced back to the Big Apple, with iconic venues like CBGBs serving as meeting grounds for musicians to collaborate, innovate, and redefine the Rock'n'Roll genre. The spontaneous street parties in NYC gave rise to DJing and emceeing as a new art form and culture, famously known as Hip Hop. This glass pays homage to Hip Hop with its oversized boombox and breakdancer motif.
Additionally, the glass showcases typical NYC and American street food, including the ubiquitous hot dog carts found on almost every Manhattan street, and the single pizza slice brought by immigrants that has become a nationwide sensation.
The glass was designed by Eric Mclaughlin, an illustrator, graphic designer, and street artist based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He specializes in creating a professional, sleek, and occasionally whimsical aesthetic. His signature style is characterized by geometric cuteness and absurdity, featuring vibrant colors and daring concepts.
Please be aware that minor printing imperfections may occur on the glass as part of the production process. These imperfections are not considered damage.
